Cydney Hope Brown is a 2023 National Youth Poet Laureate Finalist and Emerita Philadelphia Youth Poet Laureate. She is the author of Daydreaming and producer of the Spoken Word album “Roundtrip.” She has recited poetry at The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Benjamin Franklin Hall, Lincoln University, and The Barnes Foundation.
Cydney wishes to inspire people to speak their truth and share her poetry with the world.

Daydreaming
Daydreaming is a collection of poems that is split into 4 categories: "Coexisting with the world," "Thinking about you," "Uplifting my Blackness," and "Thoughts floating in my head." This book goes on a journey of self-reflection, exploring where you go while daydreaming. After you've read this book, the question is, are you going to stay dreaming or actually do something?
